your majesty.

Today I worked the B, Q, A, & 2 Trains and this morning I ran into this really nice lady who was in tune with one of my poems. She wanted me to post this poem on my blog, bringing forth a revival of myself blogging. Which I have been lacking in months ahead of doing so.

(Thoughts)
Peoples 20 foot walls of ignorance amazes me on the trains at times. If people could only put there selves in my shoes to see what I have to do to just get that 1 dollar, how many eyes rolled, red faces, and giggles I got to take will probably make one think why do I do this, but little do people know these are the things that make me stronger in my craft. I'm a Subway Poet and I try and take what I do very seriously. This last Saturday I had some dude kick me in the back of my leg for accidentally stepping on his foot, Now I could have punched a hole in his face but how would I look doing that after doing a poem about being peaceful or serving this royalty well. I just ate it and moved on to the next train and continued to work my craft.

I wrote this piece called Your Majesty last Friday and I was hoping that people would respond to it well, to much avail, it gets few responses and I'm starting to think some of my people got really low self esteems because after I read this piece the look on peoples faces seem real droid like melancholy. Its wired, its like if I tell people they are a King or are a Queen then peoples reactions in my eyes are like I just called them a derogatory name or something. Some people can catch what I am trying to do. But as the four agreements says, "Don't take nothing Personal", So I don't. For I'm on a mission, and ill let nothing stop my flow. But just a reminder to those who read this... Don't forget your Royalty. Here's the poem.

Your Majesty
By: Divine Giray

So you have done all you can,
Marched every rally in the world,
Fought for Change on every level,
& it seems like things stay the same.

Don't detract your brain Into going insane,
Drinking there Kool-Aid that hijacks your Revolutionary Spirit,
Keep making change or things will forever stay the same
or perhaps get worse!

As we fall in a monotonous line
Like Cookie Cutter droids
With no unique character
Or uplifting Vibes
Hungry for the greed
Living for the need

We need to understand that,
"We do not have to be Cursed!"
Nor have to take & ingest what they feed
Nor be the victims of our Circumstances

Do the dances
That motivate one to discover
there excellence in there extravagance.
Glorify life in all of its existence,
Stay on a Pathway of Persistence,
Never giving up the Journey to let the world Glow.

Let nothing stop your flow.
Make like a tree & grow.
Don't debase yourself from urning to know,
For they the oppressors want you to Go Dumb.
Living in the dark,
Never seeing the sun

Not using your mind to the best of its abilities,
Hiding your dreams in text book literacy's,
That you may never take seriously.

So Prove them Wrong,
Keep Singing your Song,
Don't be afraid to be a scholar,
Nor fear what it takes to set the world on fire!

Kings & Queens
Let's show em how its done
& let them know about this Royalty of where we come from.

(Please serve your Royalty, your Majesty.)

Peace.
